Key points
A realistic Corporate Health budget includes services and internal time. Compare the same scope and deduct only confirmed funding. A price per employee alone does not show the total cost.

Start with a specific objective
Are you planning a health day, looking to increase use of an existing offer or building an ongoing program? These objectives require different services. First describe your audience, existing offers and intended launch. The following steps support planning and do not replace an individual proposal.
What a proposal should include
| Component | Questions for comparing proposals |
|---|---|
| Platform | How many people, which features and what contract term? |
| Setup | Are configuration, training and launch communication included? |
| Courses and events | Which dates, audiences and attendance limits apply? |
| Support | Who answers questions and organizes ongoing engagement? |
| Evaluation | Which reports and review meetings are included? |
| Internal time | Which tasks remain with HR, managers and local teams? |
Budget for a defined first step
A time-limited program can be a useful starting point. Agree on scope, contacts, success criteria and a date for deciding whether to continue. A clearly defined launch helps test organizational assumptions. It cannot guarantee a participation rate or reduction in absence in advance.
- Separate one-off and recurring costs.
- Clarify whether billing is based on eligible or active users.
- Include on-site delivery and travel costs where applicable.
- Agree on renewal, cancellation and additional services before launch.
Account for funding separately
Calculate total costs first. Then deduct only confirmed funding for the relevant items. An individual course reimbursement paid to employees does not automatically reimburse the company invoice. Austria and Germany have different routes and requirements.
Evaluate progress with suitable metrics
For an initial program, useful measures include employees reached, active participants, repeat use, feedback and organizational effort. Define the denominator for every rate: 50 active people among 100 invitees means something different from 50 among 1,000. Longer-term health and absence trends need more time and careful consideration of other influences.
