Key points
A certified course is a defined service with its own attendance requirements. For a diverse workforce, choose relevant topics and assess the course, platform and funding separately.

Understand needs and audience before choosing a topic
Health courses may focus on movement, nutrition or stress management. Choose topics based on working conditions and employee interests. Voluntary attendance and a clear process make access easier. A weight management course is not automatically suitable for everyone.
Check the specific course documentation
Ask for the course title, provider, course ID, validity, audience and required attendance. A provider's general quality mark does not establish whether the booked course qualifies for reimbursement. Recognition and reimbursement depend on the course and the health insurer's rules.
Legal basis for certified prevention courses: section 20 SGB V
Nutrition example: Kilos ade
AOK Sachsen-Anhalt lists “Kilos ade Onlinekurs: gesund essen” under KU-ER-Y85AMR, with eight 60-minute sessions. The listing specifies an audience and health requirements. Before booking, confirm the current course version and personal suitability with the provider. This listing does not extend to all content on the FIT-UP platform.

Make the process simple for employees
- Explain time commitment, course length and attendance requirements before sign-up.
- State costs, possible reimbursement and personal contributions clearly.
- Discuss personal suitability confidentially with the course provider.
- Name a contact for organizational questions.
- Agree in advance how attendance certificates will be provided.
Connect the course with everyday working life
A course can introduce a longer-term health program. Digital prompts and shared activities help keep the topic visible. These additional services have their own scope and funding. Any insurer support for parts of a wider workplace program must be agreed in advance.
